With the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade by SCOTUS, it definitely feels like we're going backwards. And it's pretty hard to relax as decades-long rights are being chiseled away. After all, If you don't have a say over your own body, what control do you have? Nevertheless, we must persevere and work to ensure that both the American experiment and our rights as citizens aren't ground into the dust of an imaginary yesterday. The first step: Easing into it. You can't accomplish anything if you're angry and lack clear thinking. Yes, these things suck. That's for sure, but if we're going to change the future for the better, we have to relax. I didn't say stop being angry or upset or feeling cheated or even being scared, but years of meditation has taught me that you can be relaxed, scared and mindful of your worries simultaneously; it's the only way you'll overcome and/or improve the situation. So, yeah, cold comfort, maybe, but as we attempt to Just F*cking Relax, let's be mindful of what it means to have bodily autonomy; it's a human right.

"Just F*cking Relax" - Somebody said this to me recently and it kind of hit me like a Buddhist Koan, which is a paradoxical anecdote or riddle, used in Zen Buddhism to demonstrate the inadequacy of logical reasoning and to provoke enlightenment. Anyway, a bit irreverent, but I was like, 'it's kind of that simple isn't it?' So, yeah, just f*cking relax! Here's some Music for Reproductive Rights and Bodily Autonomy
